Ken Moreno joined the Fighting Saints in July of 2024 as an assistant coach for the softball team. The 2025-26 season will mark Moreno’s second year with the program.
At St. Francis, Moreno assists the program in recruitment efforts, coordination of practice plans, individual player development, assisting in training sessions, and implementation of game strategies. In his recruitment role, he works to identify and connect with prospective student athletes who align with the program’s competitive standards, academic expectations, and cultural values. He builds relationships with players, families, and coaches to ensure recruits understand what it means to be a Fighting Saint both on and off the field.
Prior to joining the Fighting Saints staff, Moreno 20+ years in the coaching ranks within the ASA and PGF. Throughout his career, he has been affiliated with several respected national high level organizations including Indiana Magic Gold, New Lenox Lightning, and the Lady Dukes.
