Arthur Stringham was named the assistant coach of the University of St. Francis men’s & women’s track programs before the 2023 season. In the summer of 2025, he was promoted to the title of Interim head coach. The 2026-27 season will mark Stringham’s combined fourth year with the program, and second year as interim head coach.
In his three years with the program, Stringham helped guide 33 women (20 indoor, 13 outdoor) and 26 men (15 indoor, 11 outdoor) to earn All-CCAC honors, including Ana Mendoza Pineda (2023 - Indoor 800, 2023 - Indoor 1000, 2023 - Indoor 3000, 2023 - Outdoor 1500), Allison Ramsey (2023 - Indoor Mile), Sam Mickelson (2023 - Outdoor 5000, 2023 - 3000 Outdoor steeplechase), Carmen Solis (2026 - Indoor 3000), Dyannara Franco (2026 - Indoor 3000), and Jack Wright (2026 - Indoor 3000) who all secured CCAC Outstanding Track Event Performer accolades in their respective events. Mendoza Pineda was also named the 2023 Overall Indoor Outstanding Track Performer for her efforts.
An overall total of 22 women and 9 men have qualified to compete at the NAIA National championships under Stringham, consisting of 21 indoor (17 women, 4 men) and 10 outdoor (5 women, 5 men), of which 4 (Ana Mendoza Pineda - Indoor Mile, Allison Ramsey - Indoor 1000, Michael Reif – Indoor 5000, and Carmen Solis Indoor 3000) have earned NAIA All-American Status. Under his tutelage, Stringham has seen two female (one indoor, one outdoor) and one male (one outdoor) CCAC Track Athlete of the Week honors be awarded. On the academic side, 26 women and 21 men were named to the CCAC All-Academic team, while 22 women and 15 men gained NAIA Scholar Athlete status. Eleven athletes in total (six women, five men) also earned CSC Academic All-District honors.
In 2016, Stringham first stepped into the coaching ranks when he accepted a head track & field coaching position at Rosholt High School (S.D.). While with the Vikings, Stringham coached 12 athletes to RHS’ first state appearance, which remains the highest number of state qualifiers in one season in program history. During that season, Stringham guided Rosholt in claiming a program-best 23rd-place team finish at the state meet, which included a fourth-place finish in the 4x800 relay and a ninth-place finish in the sprint DMR.
From 2017-2021, Stringham assisted with two high school programs (Tri State Co-Operative (2017) and Alameda Unified School District (2020-21) where he created individual workouts for athletes in hurdles, springs, relays, high jump, as well as mid-distance and distance events.
In 2022, Stringham was named the assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s cross country and track & field programs at Riverside Brookfield High School. During his two seasons as assistant coach, he assisted the program in coordination of practice plans, individual player development, and implementation of conditioning strategies. He helped develop state qualifying athletes in numerous events including jumps, hurdles, sprints, relays and distance. In 2022, he helped lead the Bulldogs’ cross country team to its first IHSA state championship in school history. He also assisted the RBHS in claiming back-to-back 2022 & 2023 Metro Suburban conference team championships in both cross country and track & field.
Stringham graduated from the University of St. Francis (Ill.) in May of 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in American history with a minor in political science. At USF, he excelled on the track and the cross country course. In track, he competed in the 400 and 800 events. Stringham was also a member of St. Francis’ 2012 NAIA National Championship Cross Country team. In the classroom, he earned the distinction of being a cross country and track & field NAIA-scholar athlete.
Stringham has earned multiple endorsements and licenses throughout the years including being a USATF certified Level 1 coach.
