Men's Tennis Season Comes To An End

MOLINE, Ill. --- The University of St. Francis men's tennis season came to an end in the opening round of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament after dropping a 4-0 decision to St. Ambrose University on Tuesday afternoon.

St. Ambrose (9-9) claimed the first point of the match by combining its 6-0 victory at No. 2 doubles with a forfeit win at the No. 3 spot.

In singles action, the Fighting Bees also needed only one played match to move on to the semifinal round of the tournament.  That came at No. 1 singles with a 6-1, 6-0 victory.  The other two points came on forfeit wins at Nos. 5-6.

USF's best success on the day came from Lucas Fernandez-Pedrera at No. 2 singles and Justin Joseph at No. 3.  Both players won one game in each of their two sets in matches that went unfinished.

The Saints concluded the season at 0-9.
