LOCKPORT, Ill. --- One day after sweeping all of its doubles matches before dropping four of six singles matches, the University of St. Francis women's tennis team delivered on both circuits Sunday in claiming a 5-2 victory over Lake Forest College at Challenge Fitness.

The Saints (3-4) again swept all three doubles contests on Sunday, but this time claimed four of the six singles matches to head into spring break on a winning note. Nikkie Christiansen, Yashleen Kheterpal, Denisse Lizano, and Gabriella Noa all earned a pair of victories on the afternoon over the Foresters (8-5).

Christiansen and Noa and Lizano, and Kiana Sikich at Nos. 1 and 3 doubles, respectively, both gained 6-1 wins to claim the first point of the match. Kheterpal and Maria Kuzminskaya secured the sweep with their 6-3 victory at No.2.

In singles action, four of the six matches went to a third set with the two teams splitting those contests. USF captured the other two singles matches by identical 6-1, 6-3 counts with Noa winning at No.4 and Christansen at No.2.  

Lizano clinched the match victory at No.1 with her 6-3, 2-6, 6-1 win.

Kheterpal earned the other singles victory, 1-6, 6-4, 6-2 at No.6.
